Gulf Air helps Nepal school children

Manama, March 4, 2009

Gulf Air, as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, has provided educational items to two schools serving disadvantaged communities in Nepal.

The airline donated essential educational tools such as laptops, projectors, DVD players and other useful items to students and teachers of Shree Bhagyodaya Higher Secondary School and Shree Chalantar Lower Secondary School.

“As an airline that has been flying between Bahrain and Nepal for several years, we consider ourselves as part of the community it serves,” says Gulf Air chief executive officer Björn Näf.

“It is gratifying to see even a modest help can bring about considerable difference to these children’s learning experience.”

This is one of many of the initiatives that Gulf Air has launched as part of its CSR programme.-TradeArabia News Service
