Gulf Air offers travel insurance online

Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, is offering passengers a facility to take travel insurance online at its official website with premium payable as low as BD5.800 ($15.40).

Gulf Air customers travelling on its network within the Middle East, Europe and Asia avail the travel insurance that offers insurance benefits providing cover of up to $70,000 against emergency medical expenses, up to $50,000 against personal liability and up to $1400 against loss of personal possessions.

The insurance also protects against personal accidents, loss of travel documents, missed or delayed departures and flight cancellations.

The insurance is valid for a trip duration of up to 90 days and is also Schengen Visa compliant, which is mandatory for those, who need the visa to travel to Europe.

Offered in collaboration with Mondial Assistance – one of the travel industry’s leading travel insurance specialists- the insurance can be bought online at gulfair.com in an easy three-step operation within minutes, a statement said.
