Bahrain warns against travel to Yemen

Manama, May 30, 2012

The Foreign Ministry yesterday urged Bahrainis not to travel to Yemen for their safety, given the unstable security situation there.

In an advisory yesterday, it called upon citizens, currently in Yemen, to seek assistance from the Riyadh-based Bahraini embassy, call the consular affairs officer or contact the ministry.

The ministry also urged Bahrainis to be cautious and keep off quake-stricken zones in northeastern Italy.

Citizens travelling should abide by safety requirements issued by local authorities and, in case of emergency, contact Paris-based Bahraini Embassy consular affairs officer. - TradeArabia News Service
