Bahrain extends deadline for Haj registration

MANAMA, July 19, 2015

The deadline to register for Haj has been extended by two weeks in Bahrain.

Vaccinations will start at the Health Ministry and health centres during the last week of this month, Bahrain Haj Mission president Shaikh Adnan Al Qattan was quoted as saying by the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.

Pilgrims will also be provided with booklets on health tips and instructions. Millions are expected to flock to Saudi Arabia in September for the Haj season, with only 3,700 citizens from Bahrain.

The number has dropped from 15,000 over the last two years because of ongoing construction work at Mecca’s Grand Mosque. – TradeArabia News Service
