Radisson Blu Doha wins Safehotels certification

DOHA, October 25, 2015

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group's Radisson Blu Hotel, Doha, Qatar, has been awarded the internationally recognised Safehotels certification.

In December 2014, the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group signed an agreement with Safehotels, a globally recognised security consultancy, to use the acclaimed independent certification programme to benefit guests, employees and owners.

Carlson Rezidor is the first major international hotel group to use the certificatin programme.

Radisson Blu Doha completed the Safehotels official certification process, and was recently awarded Premium level certification, a statement said.

“It is a great honour to attain the first Safehotels Premium Certificate by Safehotels Alliance AB in Qatar.  Serving and taking care of guests is our core business. Safety and security is the base of that core, and having an independent certification confirms that our foundation complies with a solid, internationally recognized standard.” said Gordon Mackenzie, general manager at Radisson Blu Hotel, Doha.

“Safehotels certification confirms that the hotel focuses on key elements of guest security relating to personal property and has appropriate response plans if ever there is an accident or any kind of emergency. The certificate shows the hotel is sincere in its guest’s personal well-being. Being independently audited and certified yearly by Safehotels strengthens the value of that communication immensely. The Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has taken the already high level of internal precautions one step further by signing with Safehotels,” said Hans Kanold, CEO for Safehotels Alliance AB.

During 2015, over 70 selected Rezidor hotels in Europe, Middle East and Africa will undergo the Safehotels certification process, the statement said. - TradeArabia News Service
