Celebrity Cruises ME honours industry partners

DUBAI, April 26, 2017

Celebrity Cruises Middle East has recognised the support of their industry partners by presenting today Appreciation Certificates to 15 travel industry partners from the Middle East at the special ceremony held at their stand in ATM, Dubai.

Celebrity Cruises Middle East also thanked TCA Abu Dhabi (Tourism & Culture Authority, Abu Dhabi), DTCM (Dubai Tourism & Commerce Marketing, Dubai) and Oman Tourism, Oman for their incredible contribution to the successful first season of Celebrity Constellation in the Arabian Gulf during winter 2016/17.

“We are delighted to see the pace at which our modern luxury brand has been growing year on year. We started our dedicated representation for Celebrity Cruises in January 2015 and have more than doubled our business just in the second year of our representation. Our guest volume records an increase of 138 per cent compared to the previous year. This would not have been possible without the support of our industry partners. We take this opportunity to thank each one of our partners who supported us to reach this level,” said Lakshmi Durai, chief executive officer, Travel Matrix, the Middle East representative of Celebrity Cruises.

“We are honoured to show our appreciation for the outstanding co-operation and dedication received from the Tourism Boards in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Oman in support of Celebrity Constellations’ first winter gulf season”, she added.

Celebrity Constellation, a 13 deck high 91,000 ton vessel with a capacity of 2,170 guests based on double occupancy, is returning to Arabian Gulf in November 2017 for her second winter season. The modern luxury ship will begin her season with a 10 night cruise within UAE and Oman and will be sailing four longer round trip itineraries from Abu Dhabi, UAE, following the ancient spice route to some of India’s most fascinating cities – Cochin, Mangalore, Goa and Mumbai – before returning via the popular destinations of Dubai, UAE and Muscat, Oman.

Celebrity Cruises will now be offering Halal meals onboard. In true recognition of the cultural needs of Middle Eastern guests, the luxury cruise line has made special efforts to introduce Halal meals in the main dining room. It can be pre-ordered for any sailings on all Celebrity cruise ships.

Celebrity Cruises recently launched their new class of ship Celebrity EdgeSM, whose dramatically expanded staterooms, ship-climbing Magic Carpet platform and stunning suites set a new standard for ship design. Designed completely in 3-D and featuring the work of A-list global architects and designers, the 2,918-guest Celebrity Edge aims to make discerning global travelers redefine how they experience the world and how intimate a vacation can be.

“We are pleased to see the increasing interest for Celebrity Cruises in this market and it is a pleasure to thank all our partners and especially Travel Matrix, our representative in the Middle East of Celebrity Cruises for their dedicated contribution to our success,” said Natalya Bentas, sales manager International Representatives, Europe, Middle East & Africa for Celebrity Cruises. “With the introduction of our new Edge class ships, our guests will get to experience the most luxurious and sophisticated cruise vacation. The affluent Middle Eastern guests always look for premium holiday options and Celebrity Cruises serves to be the perfect fit for them”, she added.

Celebrity Edge will homeport in Fort Lauderdale, FL., making her first sailing on December 16, 2018. Bookings are now open for the ship’s two seven-night itineraries – Eastern and Western Caribbean.  Celebrity Edge will be joined by three sister ships in 2020, 2021 and 2022. - TradeArabia News Service
