Elm signs agreement with Royal Commission for AlUla

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, February 13, 2023

Elm, a pioneer of digital solution, and the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU), have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the field of research, on the sidelines of LEAP 2023 held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from February 6 to 9.

Amr bin Saleh AlMadani, RCU's CEO, and Dr Abdulrahman bin Saad Aljadhai, Elm's CEO, signed the MoU, which provides a framework for bilateral cooperation in the fields of scientific research, development and implementation of joint projects, and promotion of added value, in accordance with the aspirations and visions of both parties and of the target entities in the governorate of AlUla.

The MoU states that RCU shall provide research requirements and permits, coordinate with stakeholders, and determine methods to be used in research and studies.

Elm will conduct analysis; prepare, study, review, develop, and align projects and applied scientific research of common interest; develop mechanisms to monitor implementation; coordinate activities; organize workshops; and give presentations in scientific conferences as part of its partnership with RCU. Conducting research on RCU's services and solutions will enhance their efficiency and highlight prospects for their development.

AlMadani stated that one of the MoU's objectives is to make Al-Ula a unique, international destination for living, tourism, and business. He emphasized that through its partnerships and programs, RCU strives to achieve the vision of AlUla and maximize impact by promoting sustainable development for humans and places.

Dr Aljadhai, Elm's CEO, said that the company strives to enhance its research and strategic cooperation with various government sectors, ministries, and agencies, including RCU.

He expressed Elm's interest in contributing to RCU's efforts to improve the efficiency of its work management, with its digital transformation expertise. He pointed out that Elm is aware of the role that digital transformation can play in enhancing the capacity of tourism authorities and institutions and developing their performance, which can contribute effectively to developing services in the sector and making them more seamless.

Dr Aljadhai appreciated that the Kingdom is well on its way in the field of digital transformation. This direction is of paramount importance in light of the increasing need to shift from traditional ways toward a digital future. Digital transformation will enable and accelerate the transformation of public institutions efficiently and effectively.
