Slovakia is intensifying efforts to attract more visitors from the GCC, highlighting spa and medical tourism, mineral and healing springs, nature and sports as key opportunities, according to Loretta Pinke, Head of the Slovak Tourism Representation – GCC Region, speaking to Gulf Tourism News during Arabian Travel Market (ATM) Dubai.
GCC visitors to Germany recorded 1.2 million overnight stays in 2025, up 9%, while spending €3 billion ($3.5 billion), more than 30% above the average overseas visitor, the German National Tourist Office GCC said at ATM 2026.
Visit Qatar is inviting GCC visitors to experience Ramadan in Qatar through a nationwide programme of cultural, culinary, sporting and family events showcased on Qatar Calendar. The Ramadan edition features activities across the country celebrating heritage, togetherness and community spirit.
