Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) has signed a strategic contract with Abraj Energy Services for the provision of hydraulic fracturing services, reinforcing its commitment to maximising hydrocarbon recovery, enhancing operational performance and strengthening local content.
Weatherford International, a leading oilfield service company, secured significant orders in 2025 across GCC from heavyweights including Oman PDO, Oxy, Kuwait Oil Company and Bahrain Petroleum (Bapco) for well services, gas-lift as well as directional drilling and MPD services.
Chinese group Goldwind said it has completed the successful installation of the first wind turbine at the Riyah 2 project in southern Oman. The project is being developed by OQ Alternative Energy, a subsidiary of Oman’s state energy group OQ, in partnership with global major TotalEnergies.
Ion Exchange, a leading water management solution company in India, said one of its key subsidiaries has secured a RO73.5 million ($191 million) long-term contract from Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) to provide design, build, operation and maintenance services for its water and sewage facilities.
