Qatar's Public Works Authority (Ashghal) said it has begun implementing the roads and infrastructure development project in the West Umm Salal Mohammed area, at a total investment of QR1 billion ($270 million) as part of its comprehensive plan to develop infrastructure services across the country.
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority has announced the completion of traffic expansion works on Al Warqa’a 1 Street, covering a total length of 7 km in both directions. The scope of works included conversion of four roundabouts into smart signalised intersections.
Omani authorities have announced the launch of a tender for the construction of a 30.8-km-long road network within the Special Economic Zone at Duqm (Sezad). The project covers several residential areas and the light and medium industries zone across seven sub-plans.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has signed an agreement with Emaar Properties for the expansion of Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall metro station. On completion, the station’s total area will increase to 8,500sq m with bigger entrances and pedestrian bridges as well as new escalators and lifts.
