Audi Abu Dhabi reports 28pc growth

Abu Dhabi, April 15, 2008

Audi Abu Dhabi, represented by Ali & Sons’ motors division, has reported a first quarter volume growth of 28 per cent.

Audi Abu Dhabi recently completed the sale of 30 Audi A6 Avant to Al Ghazal Transport at the Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi, the company said in a statement

The 2.0T station wagons were handed over in the presence of the German Ambassador and are to be used as VIP limousine transportation service for guests staying at Sheraton and Royal Meridien hotels in Abu Dhabi.

Audi Abu Dhabi brand manager Andrew Hellyar said the deal shows confidence in Audi and recognises the brand’s increased status in the region as premium vehicle manufacturer.

“We are honoured to have been chosen as suppliers of the Audi A6 Avant model to facilitate Al Ghazal Tranport’s VIP transportation needs,” he said.

“The A6 was chosen for its elegant styling, safety, passenger comfort and competitive running costs. The car is also one of the leading environmentally efficient models available on the market, utilising Audi's innovative FSI engine technology.”

“The new Audi cars will enhance Al Ghazal’s limousine service aimed at meeting the growing demand for luxury transportation in the Abu Dhabi emirate,” said ADNH acting director-general Ali Ahmed Al Mehairi. ADNH is a parent company of Al Ghazal Transport. – TradeArabia News Service
