The Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) and the Economic Development Board (EDB) have agreed to enhance co-operation aimed at continued development of the information and communication technology (ICT) sector in the kingdom. During a meeting, BTECH members were briefed by the EDB representatives on the board’s vision for the development of the sector, its plans and programmes to attract more foreign investments and position Bahrain as a hub for companies looking at bigger regional markets. The board’s efforts to open foreign markets to Bahraini IT companies were also explained, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
