Diriyah Square announces key expansion with eight new lifestyle brands

Diriyah Company, the developer of Saudi Arabia's premier historical, cultural, and lifestyle destination, today (January 4) announced the addition of eight new brands to Diriyah Square, thus reflecting the accelerated pace of development at the project and keeping in pace with ongoing construction progress across more than 400 retail and dining outlets within one of Diriyah’s most prominent urban destinations.

The newly announced brands include Adidas, Spinneys, Seven Luxury Wellness, OliOli, Al Dawaa Pharmacy, Alo Yoga, On Running, and Fakeeh Clinic, said a statement from Diriyah Company. These additions bring a wide range of offerings spanning retail, health, and essential services, it stated.

Earlier this year, Diriyah Company had awarded a SAR2.25 billion ($599 million) development contract for Diriyah Square, which comprises 73 buildings and approximately 400 units designated for commercial and service use.

On completion, the Diriyah development will boast modern office spaces for thousands of professionals in technology, media, innovation, arts, and education, along with world-class museums, a university, the Royal Diriyah Opera House and Diriyah Square in addition to 40 luxury hotels as  well as a wide range of restaurants and leisure facilities.

These include a golf club featuring a Greg Norman–designed course and the Equestrian & Polo Club at Wadi Safar, it added.

On the strategic deals, Group CEO Jerry Inzerillo said the inclusion of these brands represents a qualitative addition to Diriyah Square and strengthens its position as a vibrant destination that accommodates diverse daily activities.

“The project strikes a balance between preserving Diriyah’s historical character and delivering modern facilities that meet the expectations of residents and visitors while supporting quality of life,” he noted.

The announcement comes amid growing interest from leading local and international brands seeking to establish a presence at Diriyah Square, underscoring the project’s appeal and its integrated urban environment. The destination has been designed as a pedestrian-friendly precinct inspired by traditional Najdi architecture, reflecting the spirit and history of the area while meeting contemporary lifestyle needs, said the statement.

Diriyah is expected to contribute around SAR70 billion to the Kingdom’s gross domestic product, create nearly 180,000 jobs, accommodate approximately 100,000 residents, and attract close to 50 million visits annually, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
