Omran seeks consultancy bids for Wadi Shab adventure destination

Omran Group, the executive arm of Oman's tourism development, has invited bids from multidisciplinary engineering consultancy firms to provide master planning, detailed design and construction supervision services for the development of Wadi Shab as an adventure destination.

Oman's Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT) had last year announced plans to develop Wadi Al Shab, one of the country’s most iconic natural attractions, in the Wilayat of Sur, into a family-friendly eco- adventure destination with a focus on soft mobility, immersive activities, and sustainable lodging.

Spanning over 1.5 sq km, Wadi Al Shab is known for its turquoise pools and dramatic canyon landscapes.

The project aims to enhance the visitor experience while ensuring safety, operational efficiency, environmental sustainability, structural integrity, and flood resilience, said Omran Group in its tender notification.

The scope of work includes full masterplanning, detailed design up to 'Issued for Construction' (IFC) drawings and full tender documentation. The construction supervision will be added as an option to ensure compliance with approved designs and project requirements.

The deadline for submitting the bids has been set at April 9.-TradeArabia News Service
