The Ascott is strengthening its regional presence with the upcoming opening of Citadines Sharq Kuwait, marking its entry into Kuwait and a milestone in the group’s regional expansion journey.
The opening reflects Ascott’s continued focus on high-potential markets and growing demand for flexible hospitality models across the GCC.
The addition of Citadines Sharq Kuwait supports The Ascott Limited’s growing regional portfolio and expansion plans to reach 15,000 units in operation or under development, across the Middle East, Africa and Türkiye by 2030.
“Our entry into Kuwait is an important step in our regional growth journey, bringing Citadines to a market where we see strong fundamentals for flexible, serviced accommodation,” says Vincent Miccolis, Managing Director, Middle East, Africa and Türkiye, The Ascott Limited.
“Kuwait continues to present attractive opportunities driven by domestic and business demand, and we see strong alignment between the evolving needs of travellers and the strengths of the Citadines brand. This opening reflects our broader focus on building a diversified portfolio across high-potential markets.”
Citadines Sharq Kuwait will comprise 90 units in a prime location in Kuwait City’s Sharq district, catering to both short- and extended-stay demand.
Marking Ascott’s entry into Kuwait, the property reflects growing demand for flexible serviced accommodation in markets driven by business and domestic travel.
Located next to Al Hamra Tower, the tallest building in Kuwait, the property offers convenient access to key business districts, commercial hubs and lifestyle destinations, including Al Asma Shopping Mall.
Anchored by Citadines’ signature programming, it will feature a residents’ lounge, gymnasium, breakfast offering and fully equipped units with kitchens and laundry facilities designed to support both short- and extended-stay guests. -TradeArabia News Service
