Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB) is set to boost tourism and leisure activity this summer with a diverse programme of family entertainment, youth initiatives, sports, and live performances running throughout July and August 2026, while continuing to host major exhibitions and trade events.
Leading the
seasonal lineup is the Bahrain Summer Toy Festival, returning for its third
consecutive year from 2 July to 5 August in Halls 5 and 6.
Organised by the
Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), the six-week festival will
feature immersive entertainment, interactive themed zones, and live
performances designed for children and families.
Also returning is
Youth City 2030, which will mark its 15th edition and fourth consecutive year
at EWB from 12 July to 20 August in Hall 9.
Organised by the
Ministry of Youth Affairs in partnership with the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), the
initiative offers educational, entrepreneurial, and leadership programmes aimed
at equipping Bahraini youth with future-ready skills.
For the first time,
EWB will introduce Sports City as part of Youth City 2030. Running in Hall 10
over the same period, the indoor sports and fitness hub will promote healthy
lifestyles, physical activity, and community engagement through a range of sporting
activities.
The summer
programme will also include the popular Kuwaiti comedy play Albait Almaskoon,
presented by Beyon Aldana Amphitheatre at Terminal 4 from July 15 to 18.
Featuring a
renowned cast, the production is expected to attract theatre audiences from
Bahrain and across the GCC.
Sara Buhiji, CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) and Chairperson of Exhibition World Bahrain, confirmed that the diverse summer calendar at EWB, alongside events held across various parts of the Kingdom of Bahrain, reflects the commitment to providing world-class entertainment, educational, and recreational experiences for citizens, residents, and visitors, thereby enhancing the Kingdom's position as a leading destination for hosting regional and international events.
She added that
major national events, like the Bahrain Summer Toy Festival, Youth City 2030,
Sports City, and the "Albait Almaskoon" play, comes within the
framework of integrating efforts with national tourism initiatives,
contributing to diversifying the tourism mix and enriching the visitor
experience during the summer season.
She pointed out
that Exhibition World Bahrain’s modern and world-class facilities allow it to
host a number of major and concurrent events with high efficiency, reinforcing
the Kingdom of Bahrain's position as a leading destination for hosting
