Saudi-listed Acwa has announced that its Board of Directors has recommended a cash dividend distribution of approximately SAR 352.6 million ($94.5 million) for the financial year ended December 31, 2025, as the company continues to focus on delivering sustainable shareholder value.
The proposed dividend
represents SAR 0.46 per share, equivalent to 4.6 per cent of the share’s
nominal value.
Eligible shareholders
will be those registered in the company’s shareholders register maintained by
the Securities Depository Centre Company (Edaa) at the end of the second
trading day following the General Assembly meeting, the date of which will be
announced later.
The Board has also
approved a dividend distribution programme covering 2026 to 2030, aimed at
providing investors with greater transparency and predictability on future
returns.
Under the framework, Acwa
intends to distribute at least 30 per cent of annual net profit attributable to
equity holders, subject to its financial position, liquidity needs and
expansion plans.
The programme will
combine cash dividends and bonus shares, with cash dividends accounting for at
least 50 per cent of total declared distributions.
The initiative will
take effect in 2027 and apply to distributions related to the financial year
ending December 31, 2026, subject to shareholder approval.
Abdulhameed Al Muhaidib, Chief Financial
Officer of Acwa, said: "This dividend recommendation reflects both our
confidence in the Company's financial strength and our long-term commitment to
disciplined value creation. Alongside our recommended dividend for 2025, the
approval of a multi-year dividend program provides shareholders with greater
transparency to our shareholders distribution approach while preserving the
flexibility required to fund future growth opportunities. As we continue
executing our strategy, we remain focused on maintaining a strong balance
sheet, investing for sustainable, profitable growth, and delivering attractive
long-term returns to our shareholders." -OGN/TradeArabia News Service
