Employees in the UAE’s federal government and private sector will observe the Prophet’s Birthday holiday on Friday, August 28, creating the prospect of a three-day break for those who have Saturday and Sunday as their regular weekend.
With the public holiday falling on Friday, employees whose normal working week runs from Monday to Friday can enjoy three consecutive days off.
The Prophet’s Birthday is likely to fall on August 25. UAE adjusts the holiday to allow for long weekend.
