Intech is expanding its Middle East presence after securing a project to deliver an integrated electrical automation solution for a key onshore facility operated by a major regional energy company.

The project will support a major field development initiative within the operator’s extensive onshore operations and further strengthens Intech’s position in the regional energy automation market.

The company, which has more than 25 years of experience in the Middle East, will provide engineering and design services for multiple programmable logic controller (PLC) systems used in power skid applications.

The scope includes Safety Integrity Level 3 (SIL 3) PLC systems featuring redundant controllers and marshalling infrastructure.

The systems will support process control, emergency shutdown and fire and gas functions, with redundant communications to the plant’s distributed control system and integrated control and safety system, as well as third-party systems.

Intech will also handle system configuration, staging, integration, testing, factory and site acceptance testing, commissioning support and engineering documentation.

The company said the integrated scope is designed to provide a reliable and fully validated control solution from engineering and design through deployment. -OGN/TradeArabia News Service
