wfrlee.com, a “pay-as-you-stay” short-stay booking platform, has secured formal registration to establish its Saudi entity through an Investment Registration Certificate (Entrepreneur type), marking a key step in its expansion into the Kingdom’s rapidly growing tourism market.
The milestone comes as
wfrlee advances through Cohort 6 of the Tourism Development Fund’s (TDF) Grow
Tourism Accelerator Programme, delivered in partnership with Plug and Play.
The programme provides
the company with access to Saudi Arabia’s tourism ecosystem, expert mentorship
and a structured pathway to market expansion.
Founded in 2022,
wfrlee operates a SaaS-driven model designed to provide flexible,
pay-as-you-stay accommodation while helping hotels and property partners
improve occupancy, average daily rates and guest satisfaction.
The company has
recorded strong growth, with its user base and booking volume increasing
tenfold in 2025 compared with 2024.
It currently operates
across more than 21 cities in Saudi Arabia, supported by a network of over 60
service providers.
The formal
registration supports wfrlee’s transition from market entry to establishing a
long-term presence in Saudi Arabia, aligning with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030
goals to diversify the economy and expand tourism’s contribution to non-oil
revenues.
As part of its next
growth phase, wfrlee will participate in the TDF Grow Tourism Accelerator Deal
Flow Event in Riyadh on August 26, 2026.
The event will bring
the company together with prospective investors to discuss its progress,
expansion plans and opportunities in Saudi Arabia’s tourism-technology sector.
Ashraf Al Debai, Founder & CEO of
wfrlee.com, said: "Securing our formal registration in Saudi Arabia while
advancing through TDF's Grow Tourism Accelerator marks a decisive step in
wfrlee's growth. After more than 20 years in hospitality, I know where the
friction lies for guests and operators. We built wfrlee to address it, and
Saudi Arabia is where we intend to demonstrate the model at scale."
Ali Farah, Co-Founder of wfrlee.com, added:
"More than 20 years with some of hospitality's most recognised names has
shown me what world-class execution requires. Establishing wfrlee in Saudi
Arabia allows us to bring that discipline to one of global tourism's most
dynamic markets. We are ready to engage with investors who share our ambition
for the sector." -TradeArabia News Service
