Riyadh Air has celebrated the graduation of its first group of Saudi female aircraft maintenance engineers, marking a milestone in the airline’s efforts to develop national talent in a critical aviation field.

The ceremony, held at the airline’s headquarters in the presence of graduates’ families and senior executives, honoured 26 engineers who completed a diploma course under Riyadh Air’s Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Programme.

Launched in partnership with Colleges of Excellence and the International Aviation Technical College at Riyadh, the programme is the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia.

It aims to equip Saudi women with internationally recognised skills while supporting the development of a national aircraft maintenance ecosystem.

The initiative forms part of Riyadh Air’s wider talent-development strategy, which includes the Nawat graduate programme and scholarship schemes in co-piloting and aircraft maintenance, supporting the Kingdom’s ambitions to strengthen its aviation sector. -TradeArabia News Service
