Ajman promotes tourism offering across key Indian markets

The Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media is conducting a promotional roadshow in India from August 30 to September 4, visiting Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad as part of efforts to strengthen the emirate’s position in key international tourism markets.

The initiative aims to expand strategic partnerships across the travel and tourism industry while increasing Ajman’s visibility among Indian travel agencies, tour operators and tourism companies.

The programme features destination workshops, industry meetings and promotional activities designed to create new opportunities for collaboration.

During the roadshow, the department is highlighting Ajman’s cultural and heritage attractions, family and leisure experiences, hospitality offering and distinctive destination appeal.

It is also introducing a new incentive initiative aimed at encouraging Indian tourism partners to develop integrated packages and products tailored to the preferences of Indian travellers.

The programme supports Ajman’s strategy to diversify its tourism source markets and deepen engagement with international trade partners.

By connecting directly with industry professionals and decision-makers in three major Indian cities, the roadshow is expected to encourage greater inclusion of Ajman in UAE tourism programmes marketed by Indian travel companies.

The initiative also supports the emirate’s broader goal of increasing international visitation and promoting sustainable tourism growth.

Mahmood Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media, said: "India represents a key market within Ajman's strategy to diversify its international visitor base and strengthen its global tourism presence. Through this roadshow, we are deepening our engagement with travel and tourism partners and creating practical opportunities to translate growing interest in Ajman into increased visitation and sustainable tourism flows."

He added: "Strong public-private sector partnerships are central to Ajman's tourism ambitions. By working closely with our partners in India, we aim to develop tourism products and experiences that respond to traveller preferences, generate shared value and enhance Ajman's competitiveness as a distinctive and accessible destination."

The India roadshow reflects the Department's wider commitment to building a competitive and sustainable tourism ecosystem through market diversification, strategic partnerships and targeted initiatives that stimulate demand. It also reinforces Ajman's position as a destination offering a diverse blend of culture, heritage, leisure, family experiences and hospitality to visitors from around the world. -TradeArabia News Service
