Visit Qatar and its partners have unveiled the Lusail course for the 2026 Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final, returning to the city from December 10–12.
The 100km course will
feature a 2km swim, 80km cycle and 18km run.
New for 2026, relay
entries will be available for both 100km and sprint distances, alongside
individual races, age-group championships and community runs.
The event will also
mark the finale of the 2026 T100 Triathlon World Tour, bringing leading
professional athletes to Lusail to compete for world championship titles.
The championship
builds on the event’s inaugural year, when more than 5,000 amateur athletes
from 82 countries participated in the T100 Age Group World Championships in
Doha.
Organisers said the
event will provide GCC visitors with an opportunity to combine
international-level sport with a winter break in Qatar, supported by the
country’s expanding sporting, cultural and entertainment calendar.
With less than 100
days to go, registration remains open for the Sprint Distance triathlon.
The event is expected
to further strengthen Qatar’s position as a leading sports tourism destination
and regional hub for international multisport competition. -TradeArabia News Service
