Red Sea Global (RSG), the regenerative tourism developer, has announced the opening of Raffles The Red Sea on Shura Island, introducing the luxury hospitality brand to its Red Sea destination in Saudi Arabia.
The resort combines contemporary architecture, personalised
service and experiences inspired by the surrounding coastal environment.
It features 168 keys, comprising 121 rooms, 14 suites and 33
private villas, with views of the lagoon or Red Sea.
The villas form Raffles Residences The Red Sea, a collection
of one- to four-bedroom homes designed by Foster + Partners, with interiors by
ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel.
Each residence features a private pool, spacious indoor and
outdoor living areas, and views across the island’s natural surroundings.
Dining is spread across five venues offering international
and regional cuisine. Ni’ma serves Eastern Mediterranean dishes, while Siparaja
draws on Singaporean cuisine and Peranakan heritage.
Anbara combines
French patisserie techniques with Arabian influences, and El Nay offers
Pan-Arabic refreshments and light bites by the sea. The Pool Bar & Grill
provides a relaxed dining option beside the water.
The resort also features a dedicated spa and wellness centre
with seven indoor treatment rooms, a vitality pool, a hammam, separate beauty
and grooming stations, and an outdoor lap pool.
Located near Shura Island’s marina and retail district,
Raffles The Red Sea is also within reach of Shura Links golf course.
The resort is a short drive from Red Sea International
Airport, while Botanica Red Sea and ADRENA, the destination’s sports and
adventure district, are accessible within the wider development.
“The opening of Raffles The Red Sea marks another
significant milestone in the evolution of The Red Sea destination. Raffles’
heritage of distinguished service and elegance makes it a strong addition to
our growing portfolio, further strengthening the breadth and quality of our
hospitality offering on Shura Island. As we continue to expand our hospitality
portfolio, we remain focused on creating distinctive experiences while
delivering on our commitment to regenerative development,” said Raed Albasseet,
Group Chief Environment and Sustainability Officer at Red Sea Global.
The opening adds to RSG’s growing hospitality portfolio,
which already includes resorts operating under brands such as InterContinental,
SLS, The EDITION, Four Seasons and Miraval. Five additional resorts are
expected to open in the coming months.
RSG said its expansion supports its commitment to
regenerative tourism, with a focus on creating long-term value for people and
the planet while developing the Red Sea as a global tourism destination.
