SULB, a wholly owned subsidiary of Foulath Holding, has received the GCC Industrial Excellence Award at the Made in GCC 2026 Forum and Exhibition, recognising its efforts to strengthen the competitiveness and market access of Bahrain-manufactured products.
Ali A Fakhro,
government relations manager at Foulath Holding, received the award during the
event, held from October 6–8, 2026, at Exhibition World Bahrain.
The recognition
highlights SULB’s achievements under the Takāmul initiative between Bahrain and
Saudi Arabia, which enables qualifying Bahraini-manufactured products to
receive local product treatment in the Saudi market.
Working with Saudi
Arabia’s Local Content and Government Procurement Authority (LCGPA), SULB
secured the inclusion of its qualifying products on the kingdom’s Mandatory
List, becoming the first Bahraini company to achieve this milestone.
The inclusion
strengthens SULB’s eligibility to participate in Saudi government and
public-sector projects where procurement requirements prioritise products
listed under the framework.
The achievement also
supports the company’s strategy to expand its presence in Saudi Arabia, improve
the competitiveness of its Bahrain-manufactured products and leverage
opportunities within the kingdom’s local content and government procurement
system.
Faisal Al-Roomi, Chairman of SULB said: “We
are proud to receive the GCC Industrial Excellence Award at Made in GCC 2026.
This recognition reflects SULB’s continued efforts to strengthen the
competitiveness of Bahrain-manufactured products and expand their access to key
regional markets. Our achievement under the Takāmul initiative demonstrates the
tangible opportunities that closer industrial integration can create for
manufacturers across the GCC.” -OGN/TradeArabia News Service
