The China International MICE Exchange (CIMX) has announced a strategic partnership with the MICE Committee of the China Association of Travel Services to strengthen industry insight, professional exchange and international business connections.
Taking place from November 3–5, 2026 in Beijing, CIMX will bring together international stakeholders from the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) sector.
The partnership will combine the Committee’s industry
resources, research capabilities and professional network with CIMX’s
international platform, supporting greater engagement between China’s MICE
industry and global markets.
The Committee represents a broad cross-section of the
sector, including conference organisers, meeting service providers, public
relations and event companies, hotels, venues, cultural tourism groups,
destination organisations and educational institutions.
A key element of the collaboration will be the “China-Global
MICE Outlook” content track at the CIMX Conference.
The Committee will contribute a keynote and high-level panel
discussion during the opening session on the morning of the first day,
examining current industry trends and developments through Chinese market
perspectives and practical insights.
The sessions will provide a platform for professionals to
exchange experience, assess market developments and explore opportunities for
the business events sector amid a changing global environment.
“China’s MICE industry is entering a period of continued
transformation, with new opportunities emerging across destinations, corporate
events, meetings, incentives and the wider business events ecosystem,” Li
Zhuyuan, Deputy Director of the MICE Committee of China Association of Travel
Services. “Our cooperation with CIMX will provide an important platform for
bringing together industry knowledge and professional perspectives from China
and international markets. We look forward to contributing our industry
resources and expertise while creating more opportunities for exchange,
learning and collaboration across the MICE community.”
The partnership will also strengthen CIMX’s access to
China’s qualified MICE buyer community. Through its membership network and
industry connections, the Committee will support the recommendation and
invitation of buyers with relevant domestic and outbound supplier sourcing
requirements.
The initiative aims to reinforce business connections
between buyers and suppliers, complementing CIMX’s international marketplace,
where destinations, venues, hotels and other business events providers can
engage with professionals seeking solutions and partnerships for their events
programmes.
“For CIMX, building an international platform does not mean
looking outward alone — it also means bringing the depth and diversity of
China’s own MICE industry into the global conversation,” said Nikolaos Swoch,
Director of CIMX. “Our partnership with the MICE Committee strengthens that
connection. By combining the Committee’s industry reach and professional
expertise with CIMX’s international platform, we can create a more informed and
connected environment for buyers, suppliers and industry leaders to exchange
ideas, identify opportunities and shape the next stage of business events
development in China and worldwide.”
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to improving
industry knowledge, expanding professional networks and creating opportunities
for cross-border collaboration.
Through conference content and buyer engagement, CIMX and the Committee aim to connect China’s MICE expertise with international industry developments and support the sector’s continued evolution. -TradeArabia News Service
