Huawei to showcase at Oman expo

Muscat, April 25, 2011

China-based Huawei Technologies, a leading global ICT solutions provider, will showcase its ICT based enterprise solutions at Comex 2011, a leading IT and telecom exhibition, that opened today (April 25) in Muscat.

Comex will run until April 29 at Oman International Exhibition Centre.

Huawei is currently the leading vendor in providing telecommunications solutions in Oman, logging around $2.7 billion in contract sales in the Middle East market in 2010 - presenting an annual growth rate of 24.8 per cent.

“The Middle East is at the forefront of our global business agenda following the launch of our enterprise business in January and the five days event is an ideal platform to showcase our innovative solutions and services in the sector,” said Dr Liu Qi, vice president, Middle East, Huawei Enterprise Business Group.

Huawei’s Enterprise business forms a core part of the company’s global mission to become the first choice solutions provider in building the ICT infrastructure across various industries, including government, transportation, power, finance, oil & gas, smart cities and more, Dr Qi said.

“We are witnessing interesting times where technology enables us to integrate communication services in real-time. From instant messaging (chat), video-conferencing to data sharing via online networks, unified communications is just part of Huawei’s portfolio of solutions that is making a total shift in the way decision-makers operate their business.”

“Huawei will offer insights on how businesses can experience an enormous impact through making smart decisions in technology investments,” he explained.

“As a leading vendor in ICT solutions, Huawei has the expertise to offer organizations across the region a substantial return on investment through adopting innovative services and solutions. This is particularly useful in a region like the Middle East where the ICT infrastructure is developing rapidly as it looks to establish itself as a leading global business hub,” Dr Qi concluded.

Huawei will also be offering insights to cloud computing on the third day of the event to address how Middle East businesses can best integrate cloud services into their IT infrastructure while highlighting the tangible business benefits within an organization, a statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
