Motorola honours PartnerSelect winners

Motorola honoured the winners of its annual Enterprise Mobility Solutions Awards and 2007 Partner Awards at the company’s Enterprise Mobility Partner Conference held in San Diego, California and Prague, Czech Republic.

PartnerSelect members from North America, South America and EMEA received the Enterprise Mobility Solutions Awards for the most innovative enterprise mobility solutions that help customers accelerate growth, productivity and operational efficiencies, said an official spokesman.

In addition, Motorola recognised PartnerSelect members for overall business and value growth with the 2007 Partner Awards.

“The Motorola Enterprise Mobility Solutions Awards represent the finest examples of how organisations are adopting mobile and wireless technologies to solve real business problems,” said vice-president of Worldwide Channels, Motorola Enterprise Mobility Solutions, Jeremy Butt.

“The award winners are part of Motorola’s global PartnerSelect ecosystem that includes independent software vendors (ISV), solution partners, resellers, business partners, distributors and strategic alliance partners, which provide expertise for enterprises that need to build, deploy and grow a mobility system,” he added.

VeriSign was awarded the 2007 Enterprise Mobility Solutions Award for the North America region. During a pandemic situation, the speed at which information travels in the communication chain can determine the difference between life and death.

VeriSign was honoured for its monitoring mobility system with US Agency for International Development-tasked VIA Consulting Group. Medical workers use Motorola’s MC70 rugged enterprise digital assistant (EDA) for tracking Avian Influenza (AI) and other diseases, vulnerable populations and children health records in less economically developed countries.

Visicom, from Slovakia, was awarded the 2007 Enterprise Mobility Solutions Award in EMEA.  For workers on the road, keeping in touch with the office and having remote access to CRM and ERP information is a must. 

Visicom was honoured for its complex multi-platform mobile solution built for Swiss-based Nestle Foods, the world’s largest food and beverage company. 

Running the ‘Hamilton’ Sales Force Automation system, Motorola’s MC50 and MC70 rugged EDAs are a critical tool in the kitbag of Nestle’s EMEA sales representatives.

The mobile solution allows workers to access and update crucial information directly from their mobile computer, saving them time and reducing administration and support costs.

Visicom’s solution provides increased efficiency to Nestle’s European sales representatives, speeding up on-site sales tasks such as order taking and monitoring, as well as reducing the amount of follow-up needed.  As a result, the team has seen an increase in the number of sales visits they can make per year

RRC Telecommunications Ltd, was made Distributor of the Year following its development of a symbiotic relationship with Motorola in emerging territories, which led to 300 per cent growth in mutual business over a two-year period.

The Barcode Warehouse Ltd is Motorola’s Business Partner of the Year.  Its ability to mix solutions and service sales to create cradle-to-grave managed services and grow mutual business earned it the award.

Atonl was awarded the title of Solutions Partner of the Year for its ability to package together software and hardware from other partners and integrate them with its own expertise to offer total customer solutions.

Blackbay Ltd was named ISV of the Year for embracing fully the ISV programme and working with Motorola partners to move them into new markets with ongoing support and training.

Microsoft was made Alliance Partner of the Year for its Dynamics and Windows Mobile groups’ commitment to creating a vendor ecosystem with open dialogue, shared marketi
