Fucom, a leading GCC retailer, has opened its second supermarket in Abu Dhabi under the French hypermarket Géant franchise today (December 19).

The launch marks the realization of Fucom’s aggressive growth strategy, which is aimed at Fucom aims to open more than 30 stores within the UAE, including the much-awaited Géant Hypermarket in Yas Mall in 2014.

The supermarket, which opened in Marina Square, within the Paragon Bay, becomes the latest addition to Géant’s portfolio of brands in the UAE, which includes Géant Hypermarkets and Géant Easy supermarkets and convenient stores, as well as Geant Online, the UAE’s first Internet-based hypermarket which opened in June this year.

The supermarket in Marina Square is the second Géant store in Abu Dhabi, the first being the Géant Easy supermarket in Khalifa City A.
