Buffalo to showcase TurboUSB at Gitex

Dubai , July 26, 2007

Buffalo Technology will participate in Gitex for the third year in a row this September.

The leading global provider of innovative wireless networking, storage, multimedia and memory solutions for the home and small business environments, the company plans to use the opportunity to further expand its channel presence in the Middle East region.

Buffalo will showcase its latest innovative technologies TurboUSB with faster data transfer rates of 64 per cent and 37 per cent on the MiniStation and DriveStation respectively compared to traditional hard disk drives and it's Web Access for NAS Live Series.

'Market research company, In-Stat, recently placed Buffalo as worldwide market leader in consumer NAS (Network Attached Storage) segment for the second consecutive year. We have been working successfully with our GCC Master Distributor Advantec and since Gitex 2006 we have significantly increased our retail presence. Buffalo products are now ranged in Virgin MegaStores, Sharaf DG, Jarir Book Stores, Plugins, AlGhanim Electronics etc,' said EMEA sales and marketing Directo Kevin Vine.

'At Gitex 2007 we are keen to build on this success by exploring the opportunity to broaden our channels across the region in order to reach our key market segments of consumer and small business,' he added.

Situated on Stand Z-P30 in Zabeel Hall, Buffalo will be displaying its full range of storage, wireless networking, multimedia and memory solutions for the home and small business environments.

On show will be the new Buffalo MiniStation external hard drive, which due to Buffalo's new TurboUSB software provides increased transfer speeds of up to 64 per cent when compared with traditional devices, making it even easier and faster to store and access content.

The device will be available in larger capacities and also boasts a new and practical design. It remains shock proof like its predecessor. The DriveStation series provides increased speeds of up to 37 per cent and offers auto power on, auto set-up and auto back-up capabilities for ease of use. It too will be available in larger capacities. For increased security, both devices come with Memeo software and Secure Lock Ware(tm) (SLW) to ensure drive and file encryption.

The recently launched Web Access feature for Buffalo's network attached storage (NAS) Live series - LinkStation Live and TeraStation Live - will also be demonstrated on the stand. The free online service allows users to 'Share Your World', at home or away, by providing instant and secure access to photos, music and film stored on a Live series product via an internet connection.
