Golla OY unveils Christmas range

Golla OY has unveiled the Christmas technology bags collection.

This was the Finland-based company's first venture in Dubai. Golla OY is the leader in global lifestyle brands for mobile technology cases.

PRO TECHnology, the regional distributor of Golla, expects the combined functionality and fresh designs to earn Golla the high esteem of the discerning shoppers across the region.

The Christmas range presents a wide array of bags for portable electronics such as laptops, notebooks, mobile phones, MP3 players and digital cameras with lively colours and the familiar feel of the Christmas season incorporated in it, said an official spokesman.

The first half of 2007 showed tremendous growth for Golla as sales figures up to July, passed the 4 million unit mark, exceeding the record for their 2006 collections which sold 3 million units in over 100 countries.

"Mobile accessories were initially limited to products for business users and were usually plain, bland and unstylish. When Golla recognised the huge market potential for fashionable mobile accessories, the landscape in this particular market shifted," said director of sales, Golla OY, Bernhard Gerlich.

"From being seen as a mere appendage to electronic gadgets, fashionable 'technology bags' have gained widespread popularity among customers and IT gadgets enthusiasts. The launch of the new Christmas collection in Dubai provides a hip, young and trendy choice for mobile carry cases that better suit our customer's lifestyle. With our clients' continuous support, we are hoping to develop more practical and refreshing designs for them," he added.

The inspiration behind the conception of Golla OY came when Nokia encouraged a Finland-based design company to create a collection of fashionable accessories for mobile phones.

The first line of Golla bags was launched in 2004 and gained instant and massive popularity in Europe. A year later, word of a fashionable and functional mobile accessory spread to Asia and the US.
