Viva Bahrain launches new TV service

Bahrain's third mobile telecoms operator Viva unveiled its new TV service in continuation of its efforts to bring the latest technology and services to its customers.

Viva, an affiliate of Saudi Telecom Company (STC) Group, said with this launch of Viva TV, the customers now have access to more than 20 top channels covering a variety of sports, entertainment, fashion, movies & news channels.

Using this service allows full freedom of choices with many TV programs in high quality sound and picture. In other words, it is 'LIVE entertainment on the go,' said a Viva Bahrain official.

'At the press of a button on all 3G supported handsets customers can now watch breaking news or the latest sports results,' said Ibrahim bin Abdulrahman Al Omar, CEO of Viva Bahrain.

'Customers can also receive their calls while watching Viva TV and keep on enjoying the high quality broadcast,' he remarked.

'We take forward our confidence in introducing the latest innovations in the region that keep everybody connected and informed,' he added.

He said subscribers can get a feel of the new TV service at any of the Viva’s stores across the kingdom. They can subscribe to the Viva TV, which is available on both Viva post paid and Viva Pre Paid packages, for only BD1 per week with no additional fees.'

Subscribers in the new service also get to enjoy unlimited time viewing their favorite channels.

To activate the service, Viva mobile users can send 'ON' to the number 184 through SMS after which a confirmation message will be sent.

'All Viva customers enjoy fixed pricing and competitive rates as low as 10 fils a minute whether calling fixed or mobile phones from any operator in Bahrain. In addition, Viva offers unlimited broadband internet that is considered the fastest in Bahrain,' he added.-TradeArabia News Service
