Bahrain’s leading telcom operator Batelco said its general manager (business division) Adel Daylami was named ‘ICT Personality of the Year for 2013’ by Meet ICT and Bahrain Technology Companies Society.

The award was announced during the Meet ICT 2013 event, which was organised by Worksmart and held at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre recently.

In order to be considered for this award, nominated individuals should have a history of serving the industry, and also held a record of exemplary leadership, growth and performance within the ICT industry.

Daylami said: “This award reflects Batelco’s standing in the local communications industry. Batelco is no longer considered as just a telecommunications company but a key player in the development and provision of relevant ICT products and services.”
