Porsche Dubai marks record sales

Dubai, February 19, 2009

Porsche Centre Dubai (PCD) of Al Nabooda Automobiles has recorded its best ever December sales in 2008, a statement said.

Porsche’s largest single dealership in the world, has increased its sales over the final quarter of 2008, with best ever December sales, which was up 50 per cent on the same month in 2007.

The centre also announced a year-on-year increase of 28 per cent in 2008. This success can be largely attributed to the Cayenne sports utility vehicle, with the new GTS proving to be highly popular, according to the statement.

“We are very pleased to announce our new milestone with Porsche, and happy to promise all Porsche customers and enthusiasts that our dedication to bring them the best Porsche experience will never decline,” said Vijay Rao, general manager at PCD.

Deesch Papke, managing director of Porsche Middle East and Africa, believes much of this success is down to the considerable effort demonstrated by the Porsche Centre Dubai team. “I congratulate everyone at PCD for this record year,” he said. “It is thanks to their wholehearted dedication, combined with the prestige of the Porsche brand and the strength of the current product line-up that has brought about this well deserved success.”

PCD introduced lately the new Porsche 911 and is preparing to launch the new generation of Boxster and Cayman mid-engine sports cars soon, while the long awaited Panamera will be available in its showroom before the end of 2009, the report said. - TradeArabia News Service
