Manama, July 22, 2009

Mohammed Jalal and Sons, the exclusive Jaguar importer in Bahrain, has achieved a half-year performance of 33 per cent increase in Jaguar sales over the same period in 2008.

One of the highest contributors to the sales was the award-winning XF saloon launched in 2008, recording extremely strong growth; and which continues to be a sell-out to date, a statement said.

Strong sales continued for Jaguar’s existing product portfolio that includes the XK sports car and the flagship XJ saloon which witnessed 50 per cent growth, and the X-Type compact premium saloon that sold 11 per cent more than the same period in 2008.

“We are extremely happy with the strong growth and sales of Jaguar cars in Bahrain,” said Mustafa Al Bastaki, brand manager, Mohammed Jalal and Sons.

“The XF in particular has been performing very well in the premium saloon segment that it competes in,” he added.

“Coupled with our state-of-art showroom and strong emphasis on after-sales service, we look forward with anticipation and excitement to the growth potential that the revitalised Jaguar brand offers.”

Robin Colgan, managing director, Jaguar Middle East and North Africa said: “We congratulate Mohammed Jalal and Sons on this remarkable performance and their commitment to the Jaguar brand. These results clearly highlight that more and more customers are enjoying Jaguar’s current product portfolio of beautiful, fast cars.”
