ViewSonic expands Mideast team

Dubai , July 24, 2007

ViewSonic, a worldwide leader in the field of visual technologies and the fastest growing display brand in EMEA, has expanded its Middle East team.

The aim is to further grow its business in the region. Two new managers have been appointed to oversee key sales channels, and to build on ViewSonic's current success in the GCC, North Africa and Levant markets.

In 2006, ViewSonic grew at more than three times the Middle East monitor market, and was the second fastest-growing branded desktop display vendor in the region, said an official spokesman.

With ViewSonic predicted to become the number three branded display vendor in the region by the end of this year, the company is expanding its resources in the region to maximize growth.

The new members of the ViewSonic Middle East team are Karla Rouhana, who joins as Corporate Business Development Manager, and Saif Khan, who takes on the role of Channel Sales Manager. Between them, they will cover two of ViewSonic's most important routes to market, building relationships with large corporate customers and developing ViewSonics reseller and retailer channels.

Rouhana has worked in the UAE's technology market for seven years on corporate and reseller accounts. She previously held roles with a major multinational IT hardware vendor, covering vertical sectors such as oil & gas, finance, hospitality, government, aviation, education and telecoms operators, and with a corporate systems integrator. Rouhana has a BSc in management information systems from State University, New York.

Khan has more than nine years of experience working in the IT sector in the Middle East, South East Asia and African markets, holding roles with leading multinational consumer electronics and IT brands. As Channel Sales Manager, he will be responsible for managing ViewSonic's channel partners, and helping them to increase their sales.Trade Arabia News Service
