Egypt's Amer Group, the creator of landmark lifestyle destinations across the region, has chosen SAP’s flagship enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution, SAP ERP, to synergise the group’s operations across the Middle East.

It has enlisted SAP and implementation partner Certified IT Consultants, to provide a customised real estate and construction solution that will increase efficiency across five central departments, including, Sales, Finance, Projects Portfolio, Procurement and HR.

By adopting SAP solutions, Amer Group plans to accelerate the pace at which information is exchanged among the group’s various business units, while improving productivity through faster decision making.

“As we look to extend our footprint globally, we need to be able to integrate our group’s entire corporate structure first, and that means having a seamlessly integrated platform across all of our core business units,” said Norman Abdulla, president, Amer Group.

The implementation is to be rolled out in three phases over a 12 month period, beginning with real estate, and followed by construction, procurement, human resource and facility management in 2009.
