Bahrain-Europe flights normal after snow havoc

Manama, December 23, 2010

Flights from Bahrain to London and Frankfurt returned to normal as severe weather conditions in Europe continued to ease.

Gulf Air officials said both its incoming and outgoing flights from the British capital and service to Germany were operating on schedule.

British Airways also said it had resumed operations with its daily flight taking off early yesterday and arriving on schedule.

The airline confirmed the flight due to leave early this morning would operate as scheduled, but its flight out tomorrow had been cancelled.

Sources said this was because of operational reasons.

German airline Lufthansa confirmed it had not cancelled any flights from Bahrain as a result of the weather.

Thousands of passengers had their travel plans disrupted in the last few days as severe weather and snow shut down Heathrow and affected other European airports.-TradeArabia News Service
