New restaurant to offer business lunches

Doha, March 6, 2012

The Square, a new restaurant focused on business lunches, has opened at InterContinental Doha The City, with four interactive cooking stations and influences from Asia, Middle East, and Europe.

The restaurant said it’s QR88 ($24.14) per person business lunch is attracting a number of midday diners.

Its buffet starter section enables guests to sample a range of salads such as rocket and figs with feta or beef tataki, as well as Arabic cold mezze, followed by à la carte main course options including locally-sourced seafood, prime cuts of meat, and vegetarian selections.

The dessert selections include flourless chocolate cake and mini crème brulée, a statement from the restaurant said.

The Square also offers a dinner buffet featuring dishes from China, Thailand, Japan, Europe and the wider Middle East.

While it’s lavish morning buffet, includes traditional European cooked breakfasts as well as savoury foul medames, Asian-inspired choices and healthy staples such as exotic fresh fruit and muesli.

“Our first guests at InterContinental Doha The City as well as executives from nearby offices are delighted to have such a compelling new dining destination in West Bay.  The response to The Square’s business lunch offer has already exceeded our expectations, with diners enjoying the freshly made, diverse choices available at the starter and dessert buffets, as well as our delicious main courses, the choice of which changes daily,” said Nick Flynn, director of food & beverage and kitchen operations of InterContinental Doha The City. – TradeArabia News Service
