Dubai Taxi Company, in partnership with Baidu, has launched driverless ride-hailing services via the Apollo Go app in Dubai, marking the platform’s first international deployment and a milestone for autonomous transport in the region.
Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), an affiliate of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, has announced the expansion of the commercial operations of autonomous taxi services on Yas Island.
Baidu and Uber Technologies will roll out the Apollo Go autonomous ride-hailing service in Dubai as early as next month, as part of their partnership with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
