Strohm has completed a joint industry programme (JIP) with Petrobras and Shell to qualify its Thermoplastic Composite Pipe (TCP) flowline technology for demanding Brazilian pre-salt conditions, marking a major step towards offshore deployment of corrosion-free flowlines.
Petrobras has awarded Strohm and its Brazilian subsidiary Strohm Brasil a contract to supply thermoplastic composite pipe (TCP) for Brazil’s post-salt offshore cluster.
Strohm has won its first contract in Egypt to supply a 2,000-metre thermoplastic composite pipe (TCP) flowline for a West Delta Deep Marine (WDDM) project operated by Burullus Gas Company, a joint venture between EGAS, Shell, and Petronas.
Strohm will supply two insulated carbon fibre PA12 thermoplastic composite pipe jumpers for a Southeast Asian operator. The 7-inch jumpers support an offshore Sabah field extension in 1,350m depth, with installation planned in 2027.
