Bahrain has achieved 82% progress in its 2023-2026 roads projects plan with 23 projects currently underway.
Saudi Arabia’s Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites has announced that it has completed the extension work on the Third Ring Road, a vital link to Makkah city, and opened it to traffic. This road can accommodate up to 170,000 vehicles per day in both directions.
Saudi authorities have announced a major overhaul of Makkah city's road infrastructure under a series of integrated projects. It includes completion of the first, second, third and fourth ring roads, which now form an 105km interconnected network.
Work is in full swing on the Bahrain International Airport Roads Development Project aimed at improving traffic flow on key routes leading to the newly-expanded airport. The scope of work includes construction of a two-lane bridge on Khalifa Al Kabeer Avenue as well as widening of Arad Highway, said a report.
