‘OEG has entered a significant long-term partnership with REP Brasil for the supply and maintenance of DNV and ISO-certified offshore cargo logistics equipment and services to support operational activities in the region.
Under the agreement, OEG will manufacture
and deliver a range of certified offshore tanks, overseeing full integrity
and certification processes to ensure compliance with international safety and
quality standards.
Production is already underway, with
operations scheduled to begin later this year.
Each tank has a 5,200-litre capacity, fully
meets IMO 860 standards, and is approved by the Brazilian Navy - reinforcing
OEG’s commitment to providing reliable solutions for
Brazil’s offshore industry.
Ramon Souza, General
Manager Brazil, commented: “OEG’s offshore tanks are recognised for their
quality and innovative design, setting a benchmark in the industry. This
partnership reflects our commitment to delivering reliable solutions and
driving continued growth in Brazil’s offshore sector. As part of our broader
strategy to strengthen OEG’s footprint in Latin America, Brazil remains a key
market where we continue to invest and innovate. This new contract further
reinforces our leading position in Brazil’s offshore market, being one of multiple
agreements we have secured with both long-standing customers and new partners.”
As part of its
strategic growth plan, OEG has opened a new 24,000 m² facility in Macaé, a key
hub for Brazil’s offshore energy industry.
Purpose-built to
enhance operational efficiency, the site provides extensive capacity for the
storage and maintenance of cargo carrying units (CCUs) and tanks, supported by
a 3,000 m² workshop designed for advanced servicing and repair.
The integrated office
space will accommodate 50+ experience personnel, strengthening OEG’s regional
capabilities and reinforcing its commitment to supporting Brazil’s energy
sector.
This expansion
positions OEG closer to its customers and operational centres, enabling faster
response times, enhanced service delivery, and stronger local engagement.
The Macaé headquarters
will serve as a central point for coordination, innovation, and client support
- reinforcing OEG’s commitment to long-term investment in Brazil. -TradeArabia News Service
