SalamAir, Oman’s low cost carrier, is celebrating its 9th anniversary, marking nearly a decade of delivering affordable, reliable, and accessible air travel, while strengthening its role in connecting the Sultanate of Oman with the region and beyond.
In 2025, SalamAir
operated 22,164 flights, carried over 3.4 million
passengers, and expanded its network to over 44 destinations
across domestic, regional, and international markets.
The airline
now operates a modern fleet of 15 aircraft, reinforcing its
operational capacity and long-term growth strategy.
These achievements
reflect SalamAir’s promise to contribute positively to the aviation
landscape of the Sultanate in accordance with the Vision
2040, with continued network expansion, fleet growth, and
increased passenger demand.
These results provide
a solid foundation as SalamAir looks ahead with confidence. Plans for 2026 are
well established, including the addition of three new aircraft, scheduled
for delivery in May, June, and September, further supporting capacity growth
and network optimisation.
SalamAir recently launched new
routes to Port Sudan (January), Damascus (May), Vienna (June), and Medan
(July), with further new destinations planned for announcement during 2026,
continuing its strategy of diversifying the network toward markets with strong
demand and balanced competitive dynamics.
Adrian Hamilton-Manns,
SalamAir’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “As we mark nine years
of SalamAir’s journey, we thank our passengers and partners for their
continued trust as we expand our network, enhance our product, and deliver
strong value in the market. This milestone reflects the commercial strength,
agility, and dedication of our team, and reinforces our focus on profitable
growth, customer-led innovation, and
strengthening SalamAir’s position as a leading low-cost carrier in
the region.” -TradeArabia News Service
