flynas, a low-cost airline in the Middle East, has achieved final certification for ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System), in recognition from the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), an independent body comprising national standards organisations from over 160 countries and dedicated to setting global standards to improve quality and safety across various industries and sectors.
The ISO 9001
certification confirms that flynas has established a robust Quality Management
System (QMS) across all operational and support functions, in alignment with
General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) requirements (GACAR).
The ISO 14001
certification is an indicator of the effectiveness of flynas' sustainability
programme
strategy, which has contributed to reducing the environmental impact of its
operations.
This certification ensures flynas is ahead of the curve in meeting the
2026 mandated GACA requirements, particularly GACAR Part 156 – Environmental
Sustainability Regulations.
These regulations
cover responsible resource management and the reduction of the environmental
footprint within the Saudi aviation sector. -TradeArabia News Service
