Bahrain destroys 129 missiles, 233 drones since start of Iranian attacks

The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) General Command has announced that its air defence systems, through the vigilance of its personnel, continue to confront successive waves of Iranian drone attacks.

Since the onset of this Iranian terrorist aggression against the kingdom, which commenced on Saturday (February 28), the systems have intercepted and destroyed 129 missiles and 233 unmanned aerial vehicles targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain, reported BNA.

The General Command expressed pride in the advanced combat readiness and exemplary vigilance demonstrated by its personnel, commending their sustained operational excellence in defending the Kingdom.

It affirmed that the performance of these men provides firm reassurance that the Kingdom's skies remain protected.

The General Command further stated that the use of ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles to target civilian areas and private property constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter, most notably the principles of distinction and proportionality.

These indiscriminate and unconscionable attacks represent a direct threat to regional peace and security, it stated.

Accordingly, the General Command urged all members of the public to exercise the utmost caution and vigilance, to remain at home and avoid going out except where absolutely necessary, and to refrain from filming or photographing military operations or debris sites and circulating rumours or inaccurate reports.
