Endress+Hauser recognised its inventors and innovation achievements at the 2026 Innovators’ Meeting, highlighting a year marked by strong research activity, new product development and growing intellectual property assets.

The company filed 294 initial patent applications worldwide in 2025 and launched 41 new products, underscoring its commitment to innovation.

 Endress+Hauser now holds more than 9,400 active patents and patent applications globally.

The annual event brings together employees involved in patent filings to exchange ideas and showcase breakthrough developments.

According to Chief Technology Officer Dr Mirko Lehmann, the meeting reflects the expertise, creativity, collaboration and perseverance that drive the company’s innovations.

The 2026 gathering also marked the 25th edition of the Innovators’ Meeting, first held in 2001.

Of the 101 innovators who attended the inaugural event, 35 remain with the company and 15 filed new patents in 2025.

 At the same time, 89 employees participated in a patent application for the first time, highlighting a strong pipeline of new talent.

Endress+Hauser invested €281.4 million ($3267 million) in research and development in 2025, an increase of 2.1 per cent from the previous year and equivalent to 7.0 per cent of sales.

More than 1,300 employees work exclusively in R&D, developing solutions for customers across a wide range of industries.

The company’s innovation strategy focuses on improving industrial efficiency and sustainability through advances in products, production, logistics, IT and administration.

Key priorities include digital measurement technologies, software and cloud-based solutions, artificial intelligence applications, and advanced material analysis, while the Ecodesign & Circularity Award promotes environmentally responsible innovation.
