Nissan Middle East closed Fiscal Year 2025 (April 2025 to March 2026) by delivering a landmark financial and commercial performance, concluding the period as the most profitable year on record for the regional entity.
Managing a strategically vital portfolio of 18 diverse markets spanning the Gulf countries (excluding KSA), the Levant, and the CIS, Nissan Middle East’s robust commercial momentum served as a premier financial anchor for the brand, contributing heavily to the relatively positive results reported under the company's global "Re:Nissan" plan.
Building upon a sustained annual growth trajectory, Nissan recorded a steady 3% increase compared to FY24, bringing its cumulative regional growth to an impressive 35% compared to five years ago (FY21). This long-term success underscores a highly disciplined regional growth strategy driven by hyper-relevant product launches, network expansions, and experiential customer engagement.
Thierry Sabbagh, Divisional Vice President, President - Middle East, KSA, CIS & India, Nissan & INFINITI, said: “FY25 stands out as a monumental milestone, reflecting the profound strength, resilience, and unparalleled profitability of Nissan’s business in the Middle East. By staying close to our consumers, working hand-in-hand with our trusted partner network, and introducing products that directly align with the lifestyles of this region, we have turned the Middle East into a major global engine for the brand. Our results prove that when global transformation is coupled with local insights, it unlocks immense commercial momentum.”
Confirming the Middle East as a key market of opportunity with an undeniable appetite for large, comfortable, and highly connected vehicles, Nissan’s SUV lineup dominated the brand’s performance, capturing nearly two-thirds of total Nissan sales in the region.
The legendary Nissan Patrol remained the ultimate defining force, registering a 10% growth compared to FY24. In FY25, commercial volume was flawlessly synchronized with high-impact activations. The introduction of the first-ever Patrol PRO-4X in the Middle East and the spectacular world premiere of the all-new Patrol NISMO expanded the nameplate's footprint across capability and track-inspired performance.
Beyond the flagship, Nissan's wider SUV offensive yielded exceptional results. The family-focused Nissan X-Trail maintained extraordinary long-term momentum, while the adventure-ready Nissan X-Terra grew 13% year-on-year. Celebrating a spectacular inaugural year in the region, the all-new Nissan Magnite unlocked an entirely new segment for the brand, rapidly capturing nearly 10% of total SUV & Crossover lineup sales in its first 12 months.
Nissan’s passenger car portfolio also delivered a highly positive contribution to the fiscal year, bringing together its core sedans and sports cars under a unified, high-performing lineup. This segment was spearheaded by the enduring market popularity of the Nissan Sunny, alongside the feature-rich Nissan Altima, which continues to leverage its deep regional heritage. Serving as the ultimate brand shaper, the iconic Nissan Z furthered the lineup, captured the hearts of car enthusiasts across the region with the highly anticipated launch of its high-performance NISMO edition in FY25.
Nissan’s regional success was propelled by standout achievements across its market clusters, driven by optimised partner integrations. The United Arab Emirates remained steady as Nissan Middle East’s largest market, where its two dedicated dealer partners successfully generated over 50% of total regional sales.
Kuwait registered an outstanding 30% volume increase, fiercely driven by the sustained demand for the Nissan Patrol. Meanwhile, in just the second year since officially signing a new partner and re-entering the country, Iraq more than doubled its sales, establishing a highly structured and resilient route to market. Oman witnessed an equally extraordinary turnaround, with sales increasing nearly four times over in the second year of the brand's strategic market re-entry alongside its new partner.
As Nissan Middle East enters the new fiscal year, it is poised to aggressively build on this momentum through further geographic expansion, a bold product offensive, and a definitive leap forward in digital transformation. A central priority for the coming fiscal year is the strategic expansion of NissanConnect. Currently available exclusively on the Patrol in the UAE, this advanced suite of digitally enabled services will be systematically rolled out across additional models and wider regional markets in FY26 to elevate the entire ownership lifecycle.
Furthermore, the brand will break into new segments and announce fresh nameplates, including the highly anticipated regional rollout of the all-new, China-sourced Navara PRO. Demonstrating its long-term commitment to the Levant, Nissan has also solidified its regional footprint by becoming one of the very first global automotive brands to officially announce its return to the Syrian market.
Combining market resilience with pioneering technology and localised product depth, Nissan Middle East enters FY26 fully equipped to sustain its position as one of the region’s most trusted and profitable automotive brands, it said. - TradeArabia News Service
