Saudia, Saudi Arabia’s national carrier, has announced the launch of direct flights between Riyadh and Tokyo in partnership with the Air Connectivity Programme (ACP) and the Saudi Tourism Authority.
The new service will begin in November 2026, operating three
weekly flights from King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
The new route is expected to boost tourism, trade, business
and investment between Saudi Arabia and Japan while improving travel access to
the Kingdom.
It also supports the Air Connectivity Programme’s efforts to
expand international links by introducing new routes and increasing flight
frequencies.
The Tokyo service aligns with Saudi Arabia’s National
Aviation Strategy, National Tourism Strategy and Vision 2030, which aim to
position the Kingdom as a global tourism destination and logistics hub.
The Saudi Tourism Authority is also working with Japanese
travel partners to develop tourism packages and promote Saudi destinations,
encouraging more visitors from Japan. -TradeArabia News Service
