Oman's real estate deal value in H1 soars to $3.7bn

Oman's real estate transaction value surged by 5.4% year-on-year to hit RO1.434 billion ($3.7 billion) for the first six months of 2026, mainly driven by higher sales activity, reported ONA, citing data from the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) showed.

As per NCSI data, the value of sales contracts increased 12.2% to RO688 million while the number of transactions rose 6.9% to 34,017, compared with RO613 million and 31,831 transactions in the same period a year earlier.

However, the value of mortgage contracts edged down 0.3% to RO740.2 million, although the number of mortgage agreements increased 25.7% to 13,383 from 10,647 a year earlier.

The value of property swap contracts rose 20.3% to 5.8 million rials, while the number of swap transactions fell 39.3% to 362.

The NCSI said the number of title deeds issued declined 8% year-on-year to 101,700, while title deeds issued to citizens of Gulf Cooperation Council countries fell 22.4% to 541.
